The Blue Valley West High School Wind Symphony, Jazz Combo & Chorale performed in New York City at
Carnegie Hall on March 10, 2006 in Isaac Stern Hall. The Wind Symphony was conducted by Dr. Craig
Miller, Former Director of Bands at Blue Valley West High School. The Jazz Combo performed with guest
artists: Conrad Herwig, NYC Trombone and Scott Hardy, NYC Guitarist.

raising account balances known as Student Ledgers. You can keep up with your Student Ledger

Mr. Nichols comes to BVWHS from Blue Valley High
School where he has been the Assistant Director of
Bands. He was previously in Dallas, Texas. He has
Masters Degrees in Music Education and Conducting
from Baylor University. He taught in the Richardson
School District for 5 years, at Oak Park Middle School
and J.J. Pearce High School. Mark’s expertise is in low
brass and he spent last summer as a low brass tech
for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps. We are very
happy to have him on our band staff.
