Formally the Big Band Benefit, the Blue Valley West Jaguar
Jazz Dinner of Note will held at the Ritz Charles and will
include a Silent Auction to benefit the entire BVW Jaguar Band
Program.  

The Blue Valley West High School Jazz Band, Jazz Lab Band, along
with the LKMS and PRMS Middle School Jazz Bands will perform at
the 2010-2011 Dinner of Note.

Event details to be available as the event takes shape!  Look forward
to a wonderful evening of music, food, and fun with our band family.

Important 2009 Documents (for reference) for
anyone wanting to donate or solicit items.
The Blue Valley West Jazz Band, Lab Jazz
Band, and Jazz Combo all traveled on
Friday, April 16 to the 18th and Vine Jazz
Festival. All 3 bands earned straight first
divisions, and from all 3 bands, 19
soloists awards were given. The bands
were able to perform in the historic Blue
Room and the Gem Theater. On
Saturday, April 17, the Jazz Band traveled
to the Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival
where they performed at the Touhill
performing arts center. The band was
named "the best band of the festival." and
received  5 solo awards. The students
were able to also see a live performance
by Gordon Goodwin's Big PHAT Band
and meet the performers in the hotel
before and after the performance. Thank
you to all of the parents that came to see
us. Please come and watch us at our
final concert on May as we honor this
great senior class of jazz musicians.
