We are finally here at the end of a long and successful year! There have no doubt been many obstacles to overcome as we worked to return to a more normal band experience after two years of COVID restrictions, but we are very proud of the steps our program has taken and look ahead to a very bright future!
Congratulations to all our ensembles for the enjoyable and successful performances at our spring concert! We have three more events with the Jag Jump Assembly, Marching Kickoff, and Graduation this week (see details below.) Congratulations again seniors and enjoy this final week of high school! Jag Jump Assembly - Tuesday, May 17. A normal assembly after 4th block minus our seniors. A tradition here at West that has been missed for the past 3 years. Marching Band Kickoff - Thursday, May 19. This is our first regular rehearsal for ALL 2022-2023 band and guard members. We then we close out the evening with a meeting for all parents and band members. Your final in-class rehearsals will take place Monday / Tuesday of this week. Our Spring Concert constitutes your final exam. Below are some important notes / reminders:
1. We look forward to your final concert performance Monday evening! We will briefly recognize all seniors during the concert, and our program is a dual program for both the band banquet and Spring Concert and features highlights of all our seniors. 2. Please check with the BVW Band Booster Treasurer to resolve any outstanding payments owed or credit balances. 4. All senior parents and students will be removed from our email distribution list unless you have an a sibling in grades 8-11.
