Winter Guard Season Success!

The Blue Valley West Winter Guard concluded their first competitive season in three years with a tremendous showing at the Mid-Continent Color Guard Association Championships on Saturday, April 2 in Springfield, MO. Over 130 Winter Guard, indoor percussion, and indoor winds groups competed from Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas.

The Blue Valley West Winter Guard won the Silver Medal for the Scholastic AA Round 2 group, and finished 2nd place in Scholastic AA overall, a mere .05 points away from first place!

Thank you to Coach Connor O'Neill , seniors Emma Mills and Nora Townsend for their leadership throughout the season! Winter Guard made consistent progress each and every performance. 4 of the members had never been in guard when the season started in November, and 50% of the unit only had one season of fall experience! Congratulations!
