Red & Silver Brigade
The Blue VAlley West Marching Band

All band students at Blue Valley West combine to form the Red and Silver Brigade, the co-curricular Marching Band at Blue Valley West. Students learn and refine music and choreography for a traditional pre-game show as well as a contemporary halftime / competition show that exposes students to the cutting edge of marching arts. Marching Band kicks off with band camp near the end of summer. Students then rehearse and perform music in their regular concert ensemble classes during the fall and also attend two evening rehearsals a week. While busy in the fall, students often find marching season to be one of the highlights of their year! Schedules are coordinated to enable students to successfully participate in both fall sports and activities as well as marching band. The Red and Silver Brigade performs at home football games (usually 4 each year) and 3-4 marching festivals during the fall. The marching band often travels to regional and national marching events. Over the past twenty years the Blue Valley West Marching Band has provided students with a rich musical experience and attained competitive success.
