ABout the West Concert Fest

The Blue Valley West Concert Band Festival is an annual event that provides an adjudicated festival experience for 3rd and 4th concert ensembles that are ineligible to attend the KSHSAA Festival. Each band receives a critique of their performance and a clinic with one of our guest clinicians. The festival aims to give our younger ensembles a constructive and positive festival experience. 

Date: Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Time: Performances run from 8 AM until 3 PM.

Fomat: Each ensemble receives 25 minutes on stage in our beautiful Performing Arts Center to include warm-up and performance of 2-3 selections. Groups then move to the BVW Band room for a 25-minute clinic with one of our adjudicators. Clinicians will use the KSHSAA Large Group rubric to provide written feedback for your ensemble, however no ratings will be publicly announced. 

Cost: Registration is $65 per ensemble. Checks may be made payable to the Blue Valley West Band Boosters. An invoice will be sent to each registered school. 

Covid Mitigation: We recognize that mitigation protocols vary widely from district to district. We will follow any requirements in force at the time of our festival, and we will take any extra steps necessary to ensure you and your students have a safe and comfortable festival experience.

Registration: Registrations will be accepted from now until March 22, 2022.
