Fundraising Coordinator:
The Blue Valley West band program travels often for marching, concert, and jazz band festivals. The Red & Silver Brigade usually goes to four competitions per year, with at least one being an overnight trip to a BOA Super Regional Competition. We also take a concert band trip every few years to places such as San Diego, Colorado, or even New York City! The ability to travel, perform, and compete with other bands from around the country is an extremely beneficial educational opportunity.
Since traveling this much is expensive, there's a fee to participate in the band program. Students have the option of how much and which ensembles they participate in. We never want money to be an obstacle to participation, so we offer multiple fundraisers throughout the year (and some ongoing) to allow anyone who wishes to raise part of the money for their band fee. Most of our fundraisers are individual - families can choose to participate, and the money they raise goes to directly offset their band fee. We've had some students fundraise their entire band program fee!

Seasonal Fundraisers
Butter Braids
Butter Braids are a very popular fundraiser. They are delicious pastries that sell very well to nearly anyone. Orders are placed during October, and the pastries are delivered frozen right before Thanksgiving. A sweet treat with great fundraising potential!
