There's a place for everyone in the Blue Valley West band program.
We pride ourselves on having a growing and diverse band program. With over 160 students in the program, we have one of the largest student organizations on campus. The only requirement is that students enroll in the Symphonic Marching Band course. After auditions, this will split into three separate concert ensembles (SWE, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band) for the full year. All students learn to march pregame and a fun "spirit" halftime show for football games as part of the Spirit of Blue Valley West.
Past that, you can choose to be involved as much or as little as you want in the band program! Some of your options are:
Many of our students say that band is their "home" at Blue Valley West - it's where their family is, and it's their favorite class at school every day. We hope it can be that place for your student too!
